I used to long for age and experience
But I didn't chase the latter until the former caught up
Lost in what once was the woods
And since paved over
My shape is an echo of the shouts of my past
And the new clothes don't fit
They wear on me
I don't like it now, though here is fine
As I run out of road
With loud, unserviced brakes
And before I flip the ride exactly seven and a half times
I think: what happened to that guy?
The one who used to drive?
Eyes on the rearview
and a spinning horizon,
what happened to that guy?
